This is the true story, and it is so crazy that when Elizabeth Banks heard the story, she knew she had to make it into a comedy. The real story is crazy enough to be its own movie and that is what Wave3 has done. It has been said so many times in Hollywood, that nobody is going to believe the real story, so they always add fluff and take directorial liberties to make the story more sellable.
