If you enter a dancing competition, it's always good if your partner is a dancer (in this case the woman of our team at hand here). The dance scenes that are supposed to look good do so, thanks to her, his training I reckon with her and the power and magic of editing.
Having said all that, I am glad this did not go down the road of some of the religion based movies I "accidentally" watched on prime some time ago. While this is still very much about religion too - it does not take itself too seriously. Well not all the time at least. Also it helps to have so many old school actors and faces you may recognize or not thrown into the mix. Even one from a Nightmare on Elm Street sequel ... well there is nothing that cannot be seen ... as you see.

Plot summary
A couple years after his wife's death, Jimmy Hope is struggling to move on with his life, at work and at home where he's trying to raise his two daughters alone. Faith Turley is recently divorced and doing her best to cope with the pain of it, but her troubles are compounded by the fact that her life's dream, her dance studio, is in jeopardy of being shut down. To raise funds to save it, she enters a "Pro and a Schmo" dance contest and searches for a partner who's a non-professional. Jimmy's younger daughter Demetra prays every night that her dad will be Faith's dance-contest partner because: "Our house needs a Mommy and our Daddy needs someone to love him." God hears her prayers, and Jimmy and Faith become dance partners. Over the next few months, on and off the dance floor, she teaches him to have hope again; he helps restore her faith; and together they learn how to love again.

Big mistake
If the lady is so shy she can't be a dancer, illogical in this aspect. Other thing is, their dance is bad.
I just saw this on Netflix , hoping to get something light and fun but I have to tell you....
When I saw that it was a religious bit I got scared. Yes I did cause I accord religion with anything but a romantic comedy or any type of fun , that is secular and everybody knows this , you don't have to be a devout theologian of any sort. But I have to say, the people involved did do their job, they told the story through the characters and they did it with style and it was nice and fun! Believe it or not. I just wish it could of delved into a few topics a little bit more in contradistinction to secular living against the theological context enmeshed into the story. But all in all, I thought this was very refreshing and fun, just a few additions to raise a couple of questions on specific topics regarding religious dating against the secular back-drop that is all, I think that would of galvanized the already sweet ending just a lil' more, but it was yet very very good, everyone who worked on the thing should be very happy fine job!
