As the father of 2 girls, this documentary really moved me. I admire the girls for their spirit and perseverance fighting to be recognized as real athletes. Each had their own story, their own hardships, all culminating in an idea that we are not all treated equal just yet. Loved seeing the team support and great athleticism. We have come to far with equality to fall short on recognizing half the world for their own talent.

"Hardball: The Girls of Summer" follows the top female baseball players in the USA, all members of the globally ranked US Women's National Baseball Team. They play BASEBALL - not softball - and fight for equality, recognition, and acceptance in a sport that continues to exclude women and girls. These trailblazers chase their dream of winning a Gold Medal at the Women's Baseball World Cup, playing professional ball, and creating opportunities for the girls coming up behind them. Better than I expected
Wasn't sure what to expect with this documentary. I had a number of questions about women's baseball which I hoped the film would answer. And yes, this film did answer those questions and more. Any documentary where I learn something new is worth watching and this one delivers.
