Not much of a plot. Six young adults go to a huge nifty haunted attraction called Hell Fest and are stalked and slaughtered one by one. We see an earlier killing and that is our sole introduction to the killer and any possible motive.
Natalie (Amy Forsyth) is easily pegged as the "final girl" although we know nothing about this group. Character is built on the fly. Film had plenty of jump scares. Tony Todd has a small but appropriate role. Dialogue worked. Sound track could have used some metal.
Kids running around in a building with a guy stalking them who magically appears at every turn. Nothing really new. Cute ending.
Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

The young girl's corpse appears to blend in with the other prop bodies as The Other leaves the scene. Natalie (Amy Forsyth) is shown to be arriving at her former apartment where her best friend, Brooke (Reign Edwards),still resides. She greets her old friend but is disappointed to learn that a former classmate, Taylor (Bex Taylor-Klaus),whom Natalie does not get along with is living with her. Though Natalie's visit was planned, Brooke is shown to have been uncertain that Natalie would actually arrive as she had been distant of late due to school and work. Pop goes the weasel.
Party
I imagine that some may have issues with the pacing of the movie, but I thought it was ok. And the movie overall is more than decent. Very good effects, good shock and horror moments and enough blood to satisfy most horror fans. That does not mean it is without flaws. Quite the opposite is the case. Especially when it comes down to decision making and what some characters do ... but overall you can live with those.
The acting is ok, the story moves forward nicely and the "teens" are not too annoying. They are a bit, because they just have to be. But again, just ride with the flow and this is a nice little horror movie that can be "enjoyed"
Decent slasher flick with a lot of grisly killings and unknown cast
A group of friends go to amusement park where they will find a lot of surprises. The main starring Natalie : Amy Forsyth goes throughout an eerie maze and suddenly to meet a masked figure known as The Other and then things go awry. As the merciless , brutal killer goes bersek, terrorizing the group of friends. The Thrill is the relentless hunt carried put by a heinous and sinister masked murderer against some unfortunate visitors at the amusement park. Fun getting in. Hell getting out. Terror never felt so real.
Thrilling and creepy terror movie from an executive producer of the Walking Dead series : Gale Anne Hurd . A scary and gory horror flick with a devasting and threatening series killer executing astonishing crimes . The chilling plot is simple and plain, an ordinary screenplay of hundreds of Slashers , as a masked serial murderer turns a terror-themed amusement park into his own personal playground, and the essential twisted issue results to be that the killer on the loose undertakes a criminal spree while the rest of the patrons believe that it is all part of the show.
Here stands out the colorful and dark cinematography by the Spanish Jose David Montero, showing a large palette of colors, this cameraman has photographed nice films as Apollo 18, What Happened to Monday, Hollow Point, Nomads and Open Grave. As well as suspenseful and intriguing musical score by Bear McCready who composed successful TV series as Snowpiecer , Outlander , Agents of Shield and Walking Dead . The motion picture was professionally directed by Gregory Plotkin. He is an expert editor who has directed a few films as Paranormal Activity : The Ghost Dimension, Crimson and this Hell Fest. Rating : 6/10. Acceptable and passable. The picture will appeal to Slasher and Terror movies aficionados.
