For those who thought "Her" was too lame, there is now "Lexi." Phil (Adam Devine) can not live without his phone and has no life outside of it. He writes click-bait lists and desires to be a journalist. When he loses his phone he undergoes the humiliation of Wanda Sykes as he gets a new one. His new operating system is an AI that is abusive and forces Phil to get a life. Things work out great until Lexi gets jealous of Phil's life.
The film makes fun of modern culture that are married to their smartphone and social media. I laughed very hard at the film. I thought the scene of the private parts was stupid and should have been left on the cutting room floor. Rose Byrne did an excellent AI voice having practiced in "I am Mother." I loved the supporting cast. Next time get Will Smith to play Phil.
Guide: Plenty of F-words. Implied sex. Male picture nudity.

Plot summary
Phil has a major dependency issue - he's addicted to his phone. He has no friends, he has a job writing pop culture "Top 10" lists, and his love life is non-existent. But his Facebook status is about to change. When he is forced to upgrade his phone, the latest model comes with an unexpected feature...Jexi - an A.I. life coach, virtual assistant and cheerleader. With her help, Phil begins to get a real life. But as he becomes less dependent on his phone, Jexi's artificial intelligence morphs into a tech nightmare determined to keep Phil all to herself, even if it means ruining his chances of finding success.

Your life is a dumpster fire.
New fave(?)
Just don't tell Scarlett Johannson ... ok maybe "her" movie was not so succesful and you have to search for the reference I made ... even if I kind of already gave you the answer! Now of course that joke might not have had any effect or only a negative effect on you. It's the same with the movie. It can be completely hillarious or annoying as hell. Depending on your taste and your sense of humor.
Having said that, the movie is quite raunchy. And even if we don't get to see too many explicit things (though there is at least some male genitalia - deal with it),the movie still will be able to either confuse or enrage you with its language and tone. I like weird and akward ... and I don't have a problem with scenes that are uncomfortable ... just maybe don't watch it with your parents (no judging - maybe you can watch it with them! Good for you and them)
Though a lot of reviewers are faulting JEXI for being so partisan & political . . .
. . . I'm not sure that such criticism is entirely warranted. True, JEXI is as foul-mouthed as the current White House Occupant, but she's far better looking. While "Phil" catches JEXI in more than one out-right lie (she tells him that it's sunny outside when it's actually raining cats and kittens),no one would be able to argue that "opposite day" dawns EVERY morning for JEXI, as it does for the Game-Show-Host-in-Chief. Sometimes JEXI actually takes an interest in improving the life of an American citizen (Phil),rather than doing everything possible to destroy Life As We Knew It in accordance with Kremlin whims. Viewers will have to admit that JEXI is very forceful, devious, and gross in demanding extramarital sex, but at least her appetite over the course of many months is limited to just a pair of initially unwilling victims (Phil and "Kai"),rather than launching herself upon anything that moves, as thoroughly documented by hundreds of ladies molested by the Oval Office's Orange Bozo (and confessed to on the ACCE$$ H0LLYW00D tape). While JEXI may have put "Brody" back in touch with "Cate" in a jealous rage, but don't forget that she did not mastermind September Eleventh in order to make a Real Estate Killing vis a vis THE ART OF THE DEAL, while paying "Osama" to play the role of an Oswald-like patsy. JEXI may have her faults, but I can see no valid reason to liquidate her for High Treason!
