Well, as one not being overly impressed with the first "Klovn: The Movie", and not being an avid fan of the TV series either, then I didn't have much of any expectations to this movie sequel.
So why did I watch it? Well, solely because it was readily available on Netflix, and I hadn't already seen it. So why not watch it? Sometimes you happen to stumble upon hidden treasures when you embark on a journey with something you would otherwise just stay well clear of. Well, this was no hidden treasure...
In fact, "Klovn Forever" was even more disappointing than the preceding movie, which meant that this second movie strayed even further away from the TV series. Which, ultimately lead to a more boring and uneventful story.
Sure, the storyline in "Klovn Forever" dealt with a more mature concept and definitely had more character growth for Casper and Frank on the screen than the previous movie, but the movie was just generally devoid of laughs and funny moments. I actually think I only laughed a single time throughout the ordeal that is "Klovn Forever".
The acting in the movie was good, and they managed to get some fairly interesting appearances from other Danish stars as well as some American ones too.
Would I recommend that you take the time to watch "Klovn Forever"? No. Definitely not. Not unless you are an avid fan of the TV series, or a fan of either or both Casper Christensen and/or Frank Hvam.
Plot summary
Frank and Casper's friendship is put to a test, when Casper decides to leave Denmark to pursue a solo career in Los Angeles. Determined to win his best friend back Frank chooses to follow Casper ensuring an eventful trip.

Worse than the first movie...
Klovn Forever, but not this way
Clown Forever is the second installation in their movie franchise, but it does not follow up at all on the class that the first movie had. It's not nearly as humorous, Casper Christensen's acting is completely gone and it seems somewhat unrealistic that he's just moving everything up and moving to LA. The whole LA part tells me nothing, and then the film is so over the top that it fails to do what Clown does best, namely, create insane situations out of everyday situations. There were good opportunities to create another comedy gold, but unfortunately they abused it.
Very good one.. but the gradual descent has begun...
Tamer.. thats all I will say.. this installment almost seems as if its trying to recruit a wider audience by putting it in the US... and that sort of makes it lose its key elements for me.. I think this one is the weakest one out of all the Klovn films but as you can see I still rate it quite good...
Casper is tamer.. a bit.. and I am just not sure thats what they need to be doing even if he is older... Some scenes are absolutely hysterical.. and saves this one alot of the times.. They still have a bag of tricks and eventually pull some of that out to save this one for sure..
Is it rewatchable? Sure it is.. numerous times.. particularly if your binging all day on Klovn films.. its a must really...
