I honestly assumed this was a Christian religious production, because the casting was so odd, the dialogue and entire theme smelled "amateur", although nothing was badly done! Something about it kept me watching- perhaps it was the very mild suspense to see how it all ends up- group of oldsters supposedly WWII veterans... in 2016??? How old would that have made them? Well, many many instances of one waving off reality, such as escaping from the police,... twice!! Apparently in small towns across America, radio and computers haven't made inroads quiet yet. Gentle, forgettable, mildly enjoyable film the young kids would greatly enjoy, if not, make them watch it as punishment.

Plot summary
LAST MAN CLUB follows Captain John "Eagle Eye" Pennell, a WW2 veteran who has learned that his family is going to force him into a retirement home. That same day, he receives a letter from a former B-17 crew mate, reminding him of the pact they made to each other in 1944. That letter will send Eagle on a cross country trip to reunite his remaining crew and make good on the promise they made to each other decades before. Along the way, Eagle meets Romy, a sassy young woman on the run from the mob. After a rocky start, she joins forces with the boys, realizing she needs them as much as they need her. On the run from life, our heroes are determined to finish their quest at all costs. Last Man Club is a moving yet often light-hearted and touching story of true friendship. It is their story of honor and ultimately the bond between brothers-in-arms.

"Christian" film, but without any Christianity

Enjoyable.
Even though some characters are mis-cast and some acting a little less than Oscar worthy, the story is good and message heartfelt. Well worth the time to enjoy with friends or family who may not appreciate the sacrifices many have given in service to this country. It's akso a great tale of bravery in small things.

Not the type of movie that I'd normally watch, I just happened upon it. It's a great story about the bond between a WWII aircrew that 60 years later was still strong as ever. Great script, great acting, great actors and a great movie for all ages! I hope that 60 years from now, the bond between my military family is as strong!
