The first reviewer said he stopped watching after 14 minutes. Too bad he didn't stick with the whole thing to give it a chance. The opening minutes concern Daniel, who takes a job in a train station's Lost and Found department. Various people come in who have lost/found things. What follows thereafter is a series of several shorts with Daniel the one constant theme in all of them. Some events go forwards and backwards in time. Events/objects/people that seemed mundane early on acquire meaning later as the stories unfold. There are many little "Aha!" moments sprinkled throughout. I rather enjoyed it.

Charming little movie
Never Quite Comes Together
Normally, this type of film with quirky characters and subtle humor set in a small Irish town would be right up my alley. However, this dramedy never really came together, as I had hoped it would, into a really engaging movie, although it did have its amusing and poignant moments.
Liam O Mochain wrote and directed the film, and also stars as Daniel who has just been employed in the Lost & Found, at the local train station. Thus, the movie will have various interconnected stories of those people he knows or meets at the station, plus the people and places in the small Irish town which surrounds it.
Overall, although it had its moments a good part of this movie just fell flat, as I see it.
Lovely, Light on the Soul
Lost & Found, a touching, whimsical comedy from Irish writer/director/actor Liam O Mochain, is light on the soul.
The film is comprised of seven interconnected stories that begin in a Lost and Found office of an Irish train station. The theme of the stories seems to be that we are always losing, looking for, and finding things, ideas, opportunities, and relationships in life.
The stories are set in a cozy, surprising world that is at times unfair; the film floated along awash with a dry Irish humor and humanity; it felt as though I was IN this small Irish town with these characters who pop off the screen as real people with flaws splattered on their sleeves. Spending time with them was a bright delight.
One after another, the titles of the seven vignettes showed creatively up on screen accompanied by quirky and spirited music and gave me a content sense that I was going to enjoy them... and I did.
1. Lost and Found 2. Ticket to Somewhere 3. The Proposal 4. The Tent 5. The Will 6. Grand Opening 7. The Wedding
The film left me wanting more, but rolled gently to it's destination smoothly and perfectly on time.
