Stop giving the Amityville nonsense oxygen, its been debunked many times
Decent documentary on the murder house
I have been fascinated with the Amityville murders since the mid 70's. Yes, I'm that old! I personally feel the motive for the murders was not supernatural but the dysfunctional family dynamic of the Defoe family and by greed.
This documentary focuses mainly on the Warrens, the paranormal investigators who went into the house about 1 1/2 years after the murders. There's also audiotape interviews with George and Kathy Lutz, the first owners of the house after the murders. They do seem credible, but I still don't think the house was necessarily haunted. I think some weird things happened, I think maybe they let their imaginations get the best of them. Or maybe they bought the house, realized they were in over their heads financially and decided this would be a good way to get out and make some money.
However, it is a good documentary and I recommend.
Horrible montage
Good archived details and tapes but HORRENDOUS montage with cheap ugly special effects, dumb sound effects, stock videos of water, sunrise etc and shaking camera. Looks like something TLC would do, when audience doesn't have brain cells. It was very annoying to watch because of that.
