"Everyone has a different nightmare in Silent Hill, I am theirs." Heather Mason (Clemens) has been plagued by nightmares ever since she was little. Her and her father (Bean) constantly are on the move trying to find a way to help her. One day when Heather is at school her father is taken and the only thing left are the words Silent Hill. Heather must now venture into her nightmare in order to get him out. It might just be that I'm older but movies like this don't tend to scare me at all. When the goal is to just out gore the previous scene it really has an impact on the movie. I knew going in that this wasn't gonna be an amazing movie anyway and the actual story wasn't really that bad but when mixed with the armless zombie things and gallons of blood it really is more of a distraction then anything. Again though it may be because I'm too old. Younger fans of this stuff may enjoy it, I did not. Overall, OK story line but tried to be Saw. I give it a C+.

The story line actually isn't that terrible but each scene was trying to out gore the previous, got old. I say C+
Not much here
The original SILENT HILL, which I saw in the cinema, was a mixed bag, I thought. As a special effects piece movie, some of the CGI was pretty good, and there were some frightening moments involving the various beasties and sheer level of weird stuff going on. This sequel seems lower budgeted and less full of ideas, which is a shame as British director Michael J. Bassett handled one of the most underrated fantasy films of recent years (SOLOMON KANE).
Radha Mitchell has gone - aside from a brief cameo - and Sean Bean is in short supply here, so most of the screen time goes to the young, bland newcomers in the shape of Adelaide Clemens (forgettable) and Kit Harington (who has little of the gruff charisma he displays in GAME OF THRONES). They wander around a lot and not much really happens, aside from the usual CGI augmented spook show stuff, and it seems to take most of the running time before they finally end up back in Silent Hill. Indeed, SILENT HILL: REVELATION is so focused on offering up acceptable FX sequences that it forgets to tell a coherent storyline or indeed scare the viewer very much.
slightly different but none of it scary
Heather Mason (Adelaide Clemens) and her father (Sean Bean) have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn't fully understand, Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, she's plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her forever.
Adelaide Clemens is a Michelle Williams lookalike. Other than that, there is nothing to distinguish her performance. Some of the horror visuals are interesting, but none of it is scary anymore. I do have to admit that I can't comment on the 3D part since I didn't see it in theater. Although I would never recommend anybody pay that much just to see it in 3D.
