Mehhhh

I get the point and what they were trying to do here but there were too many potholes!!! The scene when the social worker and the guy Julius came over, how did that happen if the family was imaginary??? The social worker saw the dead friend so how was he imagined in Oliver's head? The scene at the restaurant when Oliver's whole dead family went out to eat and met Chole's family, how did that happen if the dead people were supposed to be imaginary??? I would've given a higher rating if this movie made sense but it doesn't!!! The ending shows the family helping Oliver get out of the house before it burns and one of the firemen ask Oliver if there was anyone else in the house in which he says "no". BUT wouldn't they find the bodies in the house afterwards??? Not only that, how on earth did Oliver dig up that many bodies and not get caught by anyone especially those lazy men who worked at the grave yard??? When the movie began, I liked it until Oliver began digging up bodies and not getting caught. That's when I knew that the rest of the movie would be dumb and I was right!!! They could've let the dead people be imaginary in Oliver's head while showing us viewers in the end what was really happening in reality!!! That way it would've made more sense than to end the movie the way they ended it!!! I thought that was going to happen and was surprised that the movie ended so stupidly.

well halloween...

Is just around the corner, filled with dead and creepy skeltonized figures wherever you turn around, and its surtainly the season to be jolly if you like horror comedies like the one i review here, or the more smashier of the matter.

This is all happening in the glorious 80's, when the music whamed you and still do, a lonely boy has to make a friendship or go to the house of insane...

well he makes friends for sure, quite a neckrofilia love story it is, with a sharp script and a naive style of acting that may feel by far gotten by the most horristic part of the audience, but comedywise and as a decent look at the halloween traditions made in the u.s.a. It really follows the thick red line, with pinkish backgrounds and superstyled set decorations and and choice of locations is superbly done.

My acclaim though goes to the makeup and specialeffects departments, the yokes made arent the most advanced nor costliest in the movie business but they work. The script is filled with dead earnest irony and picrasy, well hidden in the acts and words performed by a rather pictorial whacked out acting crew. Playing dead aint easy and they know the acts of stilleben, and doing the most hilarious acts to countermeassure your angsts and other frights in life...

a well made film, perfect playtime, and wellmade and chosen score. The grumpy old man wouldve died from laughter if seen back in the eighties, but it still have that tremendous power to make me laugh (with my spouce) today too. A recommend...
