The story is surprisingly good and plausible. A woman kills a burglar and the dead man's girlfriend insinuates her way into her life. For a Lifetime movie the story is good and the wacko played by Haylie Duff does things that aren't too outrageous. Lisa Sheridan the pretty actress plays the victim. It's quite exciting for Lifetime.

When Nicole finds herself and her soon to be adopted young daughter, Abigail, at the mercy of two desperate, armed men, she does not hesitate to act when she gets the chance. As Will, her captor, turns away, momentarily distracted by his partner Ray, Nicole grabs a gun out of their home safe and shoots Will in the back. She then turns her gun on Ray and threatens to shoot him too if he does not immediately leave their home, which he does. Waiting in the car is Will's girlfriend, Jade, who is devastated when she learns of her lover's death. Stalking Nicole to better plan her revenge, Jade first earns Nicole's trust by joining her victims of violence support group and then decides to attack Nicole's livelihood. Stopping by the new restaurant Nicole is opening, Jade joins Abby, Nicole, and her boyfriend Eric for dinner and manages to contaminate the food causing over a dozen cases of food poisoning that close down Nicole's restaurant. Three nights later, the restaurant burns down, with Nicole targeted as the number one suspect for arson. Nothing is off limits for Jade.

Ridiculous story but watchable movie
Actually my headline says it all. The story is just too ridiculous to be taken seriously and in places it made me cringe. However, the characters were well portrayed by the cast, the movie is well paced and I found it quite enjoyable. I couldn't give it any more than 4/10 due to the unintelligent plot.

Home Invaders-These Robbers Should Have Stayed Away ****
This is a gem of a film when 3 people storm into a house and one winds up dead with a bullet in his back. His cohort flees with the dead guy's girlfriend, but she soon hits him over the head and goes back to take unbelievable revenge on the woman who fired the fatal bullet.
This excellent drama becomes one where the tables are turned on the woman who killed in self-defense. For starters, the revengeful woman nearly causes her to lose her child, poisons the food in her new restaurant and then burns it down so that it will appear that the woman was out to collect the insurance. She also nearly has the adopted child drowned so that the social agency will take her away and ultimately she wants to kill the boyfriend of the victimized woman in the old eye for an eye attitude.
This is handled very well. Our vengeful lady is cunning, devious and a pleasure to enjoy on the screen. Ditto for all cast members in this highly effective thriller. Even the police are ready to arrest our victim for arson.
There is non-stop intimidation and the ending is absolutely great.
